This ornament is handwoven using a time-honoured weaving technique and locally sourced grasses. The design represents the additional strength and persistence needed to rise again after being forced from home.

These ornaments are made by refugee artisans in Rwanda using time-honoured weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations. They are crafted by hand with natural materials and genuine artisan skill.
