Brave Ibis Ornament
Crafted by Syrian refugee women living in Turkey
The Northern Bald Ibis is the national bird of Syria, representing brilliance and splendour since the times of Ancient Egypt. Critically endangered, only a few of these brave birds can still be found.

Made in partnership with Bebemoss

About the craftsmanship
Syrian refugee women in Turkey use their skills in crochet to create this beautiful ornament. “I do embroidery and crochet amigurumis. The art of amigurumi toy crochet I learned from my mother, when she was younger she used to make sweaters and booties for babies and kids. (With this work) I feel like I'm giving something back to society and I'm filling my free time with work I love.” - Hala

Note: These products are handmade and there will be slight variations in shape, size, and colour.
