Fashionable, large and roomy this tote bag has been individually embroidered by one of our team of ladies with one of the greatest messages of hope for the world today. Elenor Roosevelt’s great call to action in times of trouble and darkness and despair. A life-affirming call to do something, a call to hope.

The Bereket Slogan Tote bag is 39cm wide and 47cm deep, with straps that hang at 32.5cm long. Lined with an inner pocket, the inside is digitally printed with our monogram. The fabric is a cotton-linen blend. Hand-embroidered by our craftswomen in the Middle East using 100% cotton thread and 100% wool yarn.

This Tote bag is perfect for your everyday use, big enough to fit your laptop, notebook and other items inside. The attached pocket lined within is ideal for keeping small valuables, such as keys or a mobile phone, safe and separate.

INNER LINING / POCKET

The inner lining of the bag including the attached pocket is digitally printed with our monogram- The Bereket Journey. The pocket is attached to the upper inside of the bag for items you wish to keep separate.

The pocket is cotton-linen like the exterior and offers protection for valuable items.

Who are we?

The project’s focus is to enable refugee women with the skills to manufacture handmade textile products which will be sold via our website and social media platforms, targeted primarily for European and US markets.

To help achieve this goal the project aims to supply practical ‘on the ground, in-country support’ with a secure and stable working environment. It also aims to supply adequate hardware (industrial sewing machines, etc.), provide training in manufacturing processes and business skills and establish both a robust supply chain of materials and a secure sustainable route to market.

Our project is not about religion, ethnicity or politics, it is about the women themselves and their empowerment. We want to provide them with the skills and the opportunity to earn money to care for their families, feed them and have a secure home. We aim to offer some stability and enable them to move forward with their lives and fulfil their aspirations for the future.
